Our Experience With Onesim

Now, let’s take a look at our experience with Onesim eSIM. To give you an idea, I’ve tried Onesim in February 2023 during my travels in Europe.

Purchase

Buying an eSIM on Onesim is easy. Once you’re on the website, you can pick your destination and preferred plan. The process is straightforward and takes a few minutes.

Compared to other providers, Onesim is quite new, but it still offers an easy process. To add a coupon code, you’ll see an option that says, “Have a coupon? Click here to enter your code”.

One thing I like about Onesim is that the website design is intuitive, and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. When you buy a local eSIM, you’re basically buying a regional or global plan providing data in several countries.

Regarding payment methods, you can pay by credit card or Alipay.

After purchasing a new eSIM, you can install the eSIM right away via the website. You’ll need to scan the QR code. Note that you’ll need to enable roaming to access the Internet.

You’ll also get an email confirmation, including the QR code.

Usability

Onesim is easy to use. Simply enter your destination to find plans available. Ii experienced a couple of glitches during my research, but nothing major to report here. The website is intuitive and easy to understand. Also, we love the look of the website.

Mobile Data

After installing the Onesim eSIM on my phone, I needed to enable roaming. It worked instantly.

The Internet speed was fast and worked fine.

Onesim is a new eSIM provider that offers coverage around the world. When you purchase a local eSIM, you’re basically getting a regional or global plan, which can be useful during your travels.

Their website looks great and is easy to navigate.

I hope to see long-term plans in the future. Currently, they only offer short-term plans (up to 30 days). That said, they don’t offer top-up services for the time being, which means you’ll need to buy a new eSIM when your plan is expired.

What To Do If Onesim Isn’t Working?

If you’re having issues with Onesim and can’t access the Internet, you can always contact the support to find a solution. The support is quick, so you should have a solution fast.

Usually, the issue with eSIMs is that you are connected to the wrong mobile network or that you forgot to set up the APN. Although, with Onesim, you don’t need to set up an APN, as they have it automatically.

Here are some recommended steps:

1. In your device settings, your eSIM is active under Mobile Networks
2. Verify that mobile data is turned on for this eSIM
3. Verify that data Roaming is On
4. Add a new APN if needed
5. The newly created and saved APN is selected
6. You are manually connected to the supported network provider in your carrier settings
