Our Experience With Airhub

Now, let’s take a look at our experience with Airhub eSIM. To give you an idea, I tried Airhub in January 2023 during my travels in Europe.

Purchase

Buying an eSIM on Airhub is easy. Once you’re on the website, you can pick your destination and preferred plan. You’ll see a list of the plans available, and you’ll need to click on details to see what’s included in each plan.

Compared to other providers, Airhub is quite new, but it still offers an easy process. I’d love to see more visuals instead of a list, but if you don’t mind a basic list that helps you compare the plan validity, the data, and the price, you’ll be pleased.

One thing I like about Airhub is that you can choose monthly plans for some destinations. Some of them even come with voice calls, which is excellent!

Regarding payment methods, you can pay by debit card, credit card, or Paypal.

After purchasing a new eSIM, you can install the eSIM right away via the app/website. You’ll need to scan the QR code. Note that you’ll need to enable roaming to access the Internet, and you’ll need to set up an APN.

You’ll also get an email confirmation, including the QR code.

Usability

Airhub is easy to use. Enter your destination to find plans available.

The list gives you a clear overview of what’s available, but you’ll need to click on details for each plan to learn more, making it harder to remember which plan’s button you clicked.

Airhub doesn’t always show the carriers. This usually happens when the plan includes multiple networks. As a user, I’d love to see which network is supported in each country, but it might come with time.

I faced two or three minor glitches when navigating the website, but nothing major to report here.

Mobile Data

After installing the Airhub eSIM on my phone, I needed to enable roaming, and I had to set up an APN. It worked within a couple of minutes. If you don’t know what an APN is, you can look at their installation guidelines.

The Internet speed was okay and worked fine. As I was traveling in a small town, it can be harder to tell, but no complaints here!

Support

I contacted Airhub via their live chat. Their reply was extremely fast. It took them 1 minute to get back to me, which is remarkable!

Although, the person didn’t provide the correct answer, which I didn’t know at the time.

If you’re having issues with Airhub and can’t access the Internet, you can always contact the support team to find a solution. The support is extremely fast, so you should have a solution soon.

Usually, the issue is that you are connected to the wrong mobile network or that you forgot to set up the APN.

Here are some recommended steps:

1. In your device settings, your eSIM is active under Mobile Networks
2. Verify that mobile data is turned on for this eSIM
3. Verify that data Roaming is On
4. Add a new APN if needed (globaldata)
5. The newly created and saved APN is selected
6. You are manually connected to the supported network provider in your carrier settings
