Our Experience With BNESIM

Now, let’s take a look at our experience with BNE eSIM. To give you an idea, I’ve tried BNE in October 2022 during my travels in Thailand.

Purchase

Buying an eSIM on BNE is easy. Once you’re on the website, you’ll need to head to the eSIM section under Mobile Data (in the menu). Then, you can pick your destination and preferred plan. You’ll have the option to pick between a one-time purchase or a daily or monthly subscription. The process is straightforward and takes a few minutes.

Compared to other providers, I think the BNE website is not the most user-friendly out there. The information is presented in an overwhelming way. I didn’t always know where to click next.

One thing I like about BNE is that most plans are without expiration. You also get monthly subscriptions which can be a game-changer for people.

Regarding payment methods, you can only pay by credit card.

After purchasing a new eSIM, you can install the eSIM right away via the app/website. You’ll need to scan the QR code. Note that if you’re an Android user, you’ll need to set up an APN. You’ll find details about this just below the QR code.

You’ll also get an email confirmation including steps if it’s your first time using an eSIM.

Usability

BNE is easy to use but not as easy as its competitors. You first need to go to the eSIM section to use the search bar to find the country you’re visiting.

Then, to purchase a plan, you’ll need to pick a subscription or a one-time fee.

In my opinion, they could improve the overall user experience.

Mobile Data

After installing the BNE eSIM on my phone, I needed to set up the APN. It worked within a couple of minutes.

The Internet speed was fast and worked fine.

Support

I contacted BNE support via email. Their reply was very fast. It took them 14 minutes to get back to me.

If you need help, you can contact them via email: support@bnesim.com.

Alternatively, you can contact them by phone or via WhatsApp (+19472221656). You’ll find their phone numbers on the contact page, and if you’re using their app, you can call 888.

Our Opinion About BNESIM

BNE has a good concept –Β  a one-shop stop for everything mobile-related. You can get an eSIM, a SIM card with unlimited data, or an International phone number on their website.

I like that you can get a monthly subscription or a one-time package with no expiration date. They definitely made their offerings unique compared to their competitors.

Their website could be improved for a better user-experience, but overall, their products work fine, which is the important thing here.

What To Do If BNE Isn’t Working?

If you’re having issues with BNESIM and can’t access the Internet, you can always contact the support to find a solution. The support is usually quick, so you should have a solution fast.

Usually, the issue is that you are connected to the wrong mobile network or that you forgot to set up the APN.

Here are some recommended steps:

  1. In your device settings, your eSIM is active under Mobile Networks
  2. Verify that mobile data is turned on for this eSIM
  3. Verify that data Roaming is On
  4. Add a new APN if needed
  5. The newly created and saved APN is selected
  6. You are manually connected to the supported network provider in your carrier settings
